A lyrical, inspiring, monumentally deserved eulogy. I suspect the spirit of John Lewis was standing next to you, encouraging you to reach for it – civil rights, voting rights – all of it. What more appropriate time to raise your voice full throttle, a crescendo for fairness, for decency - for democracy - in this discordant time. A time where rhetoric has been honed to its bleeding edge to undermine, suppress, to elicit the very worst in us. And in response, your compassionate, stirring rebuke of all that which we children of the 1960’s hoped had fallen by the wayside some fifty odd years ago when John Lewis and many like him walked across a bridge in Alabama.

Well done.
